STRAIGHT EDGE = FASCISM? WHAT THE FUCK?!!?! Do people really think this? Are people's heads really this far up their asses? The fucking alcohol culture is shoved down America and most likely the rest of the world's throat from day fucking one. Tv ads, Magazine ads, movie scenes, IT'S FUCKING EVERYWHERE. Drinking is not a popular thing to do, it's THE THING to do. From the age of about 13 to 40, drinking is basically the center of every fucking american's social life. If you don't drink, you're an outsider. If you don't like drinking or bars or partys or clubs or whatever, you're fucked for things to do unless you're lucky enough to have a few friends that aren't into that either. Seriously, turn on a TV and see how many alcohol commercials there are showing everyone having a great fucking time hanging out with their friends and getting hot chicks. Billions of dollars (I am guessing, definetely millions) are spent every year to send the alcohol's company's message to everyone in america, and yet straight edge kids are the fascists? When you watch TV are your shows interrupted by straight edge commericals? Do you have to flip through more straight edge ads in magazines than actual content you want to read? Seriously, if I hear one more kid get pissed because a straight edge kid said "drinking sucks" and they're sick of people telling them how to live their lvies, I'm going to fucking snap. You hear it once a week, people who don't drink are told they should be drinking multiple times every fucking day for their entire fuckign lives. I could avoid all human contact, and I'd still have TV, Magazines, Books, Movies, and the Internet telling me I should be drinking Current Music: ten yard fight |
